Ahhhh!!!! The hardest part after getting hurt at work is accepting the fact that everything CAN'T go back to normal
Dealing with the healing and recovery alone is hard to handle!
Adding Grief, Pain, disabilities that changes your whole life!
Think about that for a second so hard working on a daily basis....all of a sudden you get hurt on the job. FROM THAT MOMENT....that's where everything and everyone changes
NOTHING will be able to EVER be the same again!
Adjusting your life to accommodate new-found impairments. Especially when it becomes permanent.
Personally I've had to do it all by myself
Every single day
I learnt the hard way how to advocate for myself
Every single day
Hard to move around, barely able to do personal care
Even manage daily house hold chores
Stuffed with medications
Left and right and center
That's takes a huge toll on the body
Now factor in doctors recommendatiodoctors recommendations
Add in dealing with WSIB Case Manager and Employer FORCING you to return to work. AGAINST Doctors.
It is a roller coaster of madness
3/4 of these injuries I've reinjured and injured many parts of my body
Every single day is a struggle
No accommodations, no legal representation, no benefits, no treatments or services
WE HAVE NO RIGHTS
WSIB twists the facts to make it favorable in their favor!
Injured Workers are Silenced and left in Poverty!
One day you are a FABULOUS worker the next you are a piece of trash and left to lead a DARK, TORTUROUS life
NO ONE DESERVES A LIFE WITHOUT DIGNITY AND RESPECT.
The Workers' Compensation System needs to be investigated and a COMPLETE Overhaul needs to be done!
You may not be injured at work today, but what if you get hurt in the future?
As soon as you file that claim with WSIB, even if you don't...The Repetitive Work Can cause issues down the road.
The Workers' compensation system needs to PROPERLY take care of Injured / Made I'll Workers', because one day it might happen to you !
Reports and Articles state that 90% of PERMANENTLY IMPAIRED Workers would like to Return to work.
As for myself, if I were able to FULLY function (Mind, Body and Soul) I would have my scrubs on in a heart beat!!! I'd be running to my vehicle, and assist my.xlients with their daily needs. Unfortunately that is not the case! On a daily basis I can barely take care of myself. Not realistic
Very much struggling to adjust to this new reality for me. I can't do the things like I used too! I have to adjust and create a life that works surrounding my needs, but it is very hard. Every single day is a fight!
Despite my struggle...every single day I try my best. Must somehow find the strength to keep going!
So please do not over work yourself!
You only life once
We weren't put on this planet to be slaves!
Self care is a daily must!
Until next time...y'all take care and have a good day! 😀☀️🌞
